Creative Lines was engaged to provide a recommended scope of works for 30km of walking trail in the Budawangs National Park. The Budawang Ranges, spanning Budawang National Park and Morton National Park near the NSW South Coast, offer a prehistoric “Lost World” of sheer sandstone cliffs, deep gorges, and pristine wilderness. Both its ruggedness and remoteness have preserved its ecological value and its appeal to adventure-hiking enthusiasts and NPWS.
Over a 3-day hike assisted by helicopter, our remote works trail specialists scoped the required remediations of the walking trail from Cooyoyo and The Castle to Wog Wog via the Monolith Valley, Mt Tarn, Scenic Rim, Corang Peak and The Corang Arch.
The site suffered severe burning from wildfires in 2019/20 and subsequent damage from flooding over the years that followed.
Deliverables for the project included approximately 2000 GIS works recommendations, alignment truthing of 29km of remote walking trail, ecological sensitivities understanding and recommendations, scope of works documentation, and forecasted bill of quantities with associated budgeting suggestions.
Files were provided in separate works packages, along with an overarching scope of works document for the purpose of client tendering.
