Bournda National Park is an ecologically significant coastal reserve that protects a diverse range of natural environments, including pristine beaches, freshwater lakes, wetlands, lagoons, coastal heathlands, forests, and dune systems. These interconnected ecosystems provide vital habitat for native wildlife, including threatened species and migratory birds, while supporting important ecological functions such as water filtration, carbon storage, shoreline stabilisation, and climate resilience. The park’s unique freshwater and estuarine environments, together with its rich biodiversity and cultural significance to the Yuin people, make Bournda National Park an outstanding example of coastal conservation, contributing to the long-term protection of the natural heritage of New South Wales.

In this project, Creative Lines was tasked with the demolition, removal, supply and construction of 2 timber staircases in Bournda National Park.

Our crew produced 2 spectacular timber staircases in the difficult terrain of coastal dunes.

The timber used in the project is Australian Ironbark, and the structures are supported by SureFoot footing systems.
